Meet Our Pastor and
Staff...
Senior Pastor Reverend Jamie Cupschalk
and Tamera
|
|
Jamie
Cupschalk came to New Jersey to pastor the Ashland Church in September
of 2002. He has a passion for Christ and His church, and desires to see Ashland
become a place where people come to know and worship Jesus Christ as Lord.
Jamie received a
call to full-time Christian Ministry while living in Virginia Beach where he
worked as an Engineer for the U.S. Navy. He has degrees from Old Dominion
University ('88 B.S. in Mechanical Engineering) and Reformed Theological
Seminary ('99 Masters of Divinity). Prior to coming to Ashland, he worked as an
associate pastor at the Mount Pleasant Community Church (www.mpcc.org) in
Michigan.
He and his wife
Tamera have four sons - Andy (1991), David (1993), Stephen (1996) and Benjamin
(1998).

Youth & Young Adult Ministries Director
|
|
Ken Buck has been
involved in youth ministry since graduating high school in 1991. He received
his B.A. from Cedarville University (Ohio) with his degree in Philosophy and is
pursuing a M. Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary. His primary passion
in ministry is to help students chose to become disciples of Christ while they
also embrace adulthood. The love of his life is Kathy, with whom he has been
married since January, 2003. They met as part of the same youth leadership team
at the church they served in Ohio. They are expecting their first child, Julius
Miles, in May of 2006. The family also includes "the Deugan", their dog, whose
greatest accomplishments consists of running down Frisbees thrown 60 yards.
Ken's interests include collecting books, cooking, Modernist design,
basketball, surfing, snowboarding and most of all, being with people. His
favorite bands are: U2, Over the Rhine, Wilco, Phish and most anything heard on
WXPN. His favorite books include Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Fearless
Faith by John Fischer, and Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis. He is an avid
sports fan (much to Kathy's dismay) especially of college athletics. One truly
useless piece of information about Ken is that he really loves chairs of almost
any shape and size.
