Leadership
For lack of guidance a nation falls but many advisors make victory sure.
Proverbs 11:14
Senior Pastor
Jamie Cupschalk came to New Jersey to pastor the Ashland Church in September of 2002. He has a passion for Christ and His church, and desires to see Ashland become a place where people come to know and worship Jesus Christ as Lord. Jamie received a call to full-time Christian Ministry while living in Virginia Beach where he worked as an Engineer for the U.S. Navy. He has degrees from Old Dominion University ('88 B.S. in Mechanical Engineering) and Reformed Theological Seminary ('99 Masters of Divinity). Prior to coming to Ashland, he worked as an associate pastor at the Mount Pleasant Community Church (www.mpcc.org) in Michigan. He and his wife Tamera have four sons - Andy (1991), David (1993), Stephen (1996) and Benjamin (1998).
Youth and Young Adult Ministries Director
Ken has been involved in youth ministry since graduating high school in 1991. He received his B.A. from Cedarville University (Ohio) with a degree in Philosophy and is pursuing a degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. The love of his life is Kathy, with whom he has been married to since January of 2003 and they have two kids, J. Miles and Noelle. Ken and family enjoys living in the fine borough of Collingswood (because they actually think that its like living in the "big city".) One truly useless piece of information about Ken is that he really loves chairs of almost any shape and size.
Worship and Arts Director
God has blessed Ashland through Carol's gifting as a musician and worship director. Carol is integrally involved in planning worship and directing worship teams and choirs at Ashland Church. She has two degrees from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia (BA in Music Performance and BA in Music Education) as well as from the Institute for Worship Studies (Masters of Worship Studies)
Childrens Ministry Director
Janine is married to Brian and they have three children : Liam (1999), Conner (2001) and Erin (2003). Janine grew up, and still resides, in Cherry Hill. She also grew up at Ashland Church and joins her parents John & Linda Tait and grandparents Ed & Elynor Smith in worshipping and serving God. Being a mother has taught Janine the need to teach our children about God's love and grace and His Son Jesus Christ. She is eager to use her gifts and calling to work with the congregation in ministering to our children. Janine is working towards her certificate in Children's Minitries at CMUO through Valley Forge Christian University.
